1. Generalities

Envie d’Albanie offers different types of products and services (hereinafter: the journey), which the specificities and nature are detailed through information made available to the traveler. Before making any reservation, it is important to read these information relating to the description of these trips and services in order to estimate your own ability to carry out this journey. This information also refers to a physical and health level that is important to have before conquering on of these journeys.

If in doubt, Envie d’Albanie remains at your disposal to advise you, whatever the type of journey you wish to undertake.

Unless Envie d’Albanie has given its prior consent, the journeys proposed are accompanied by at least one local guide, who has an excellent knowledge of the trips, the region and its inhabitants.

Except in special cases, the minor must be in possession of his own travel document (passport). In any case, he remains under the responsibility of the parental authority for the entire duration of the journey, regardless of the activities he may carry out during the journey. Under no circumstances may Envie d’Albanie and/or the guide be subject to negligence or any other form of blame, in the event of a lack of supervision by the parental authority and/or its representative.

2. Travel

The cultural trip: It will allow you to discover the cultural heritage of the country or countries visited, but also the way of life of its inhabitants. It can be oriented in a specific field (history, religion, fauna, folklore,...) or it can be composed of a mixture of several of them. It is a question of discovering a heritage through walks accessible to all.

The discovery trip: It will offer a mix of culture, history... and allow an encounter with the people. But above all, the discovery journey will invite the traveler to discover something new and to look at the environment in which he evolves in a different way.

The family trip: This type of trip is designed so that everyone, regardless of age, can live and enjoy unique moments, pleasures, learning, reunions, but above all sharing and transmission. Its rhythm, its path and its organization are adapted to everyone. It involves the presence of at least one minor per family in the group.

The surprise trip: It leads to an original and unusual program. Depending on the choices and constraints expressed by the traveler, it will be designed by the organiser and will remain enigmatic until the day the traveler arrives.

Tailor-made travel: It's yours. The traveler decides on everything (or almost everything) and the organizer draws it, figures it and validates it with your involvement. The tailor-made trip encourages reflection, research, discovery, knowledge and curiosity.

Free travel: The traveler retains control over the date of departure. It is not concerned with any logistical organization in the country(ies) visited. It will follow a predefined route using a road map and without a guide.

Combined travel: Travel is a combination of culture, discovery, nature, relaxation, intellectual or sporting activities. It is designed to vary the pleasures and experiences.

Trekking: This travel term refers to a walk involving a long crossing or loop in an area that is difficult to access. The journey departs from traditional roads, can be random, departs from comfort and infrastructure and will force the traveler to remain humble and respectful in the face of nature.

Hiking: This is the very spirit of walking. It is a more or less long walk without any particular difficulties. It is dotted with breaks to admire and appreciate the works of nature.

Walking: It defines a short walk allowing the discovery of places in urban or natural environments, on a tamed, easy and accessible route for all.

The peaks: Climbing a rocky peak to reach a high point. The trip involves a lot of physical effort. It is a challenge that offers unforgettable moments and sensations.

Winter: The arrival of snow will allow you to go for a walk or hike equipped with snowshoes or skis. The environment in which the traveller operates is unrecognizable and requires relearning for the uninitiated.

Fly and drive: This concept allows the traveler to choose his flight. He reserves a vehicle that will be given to him at the airport of his choice. He then enjoys his trip in complete freedom, or he relies on a predefined or customized itinerary.

Co-travelers: Relying on social networks or any other form of communication, it invites the person or persons interested to register for a trip in order to share a moment of life and get to know each other better.

3. Travel document

A valid passport (at least 6 months from the start of the journey) is recommended. Failing this, a valid CNI (at least 6 months) may be used as a travel document for European Community citizens.

For journeys involving border crossings outside official border crossings (e.g. trekking or hiking on horseback over 2 or more countries), the passport is mandatory for all participants. A copy of each participant's passport will be requested at least one month before the departure date of the journey in order to obtain border crossing authorizations from the competent authorities.

The procedures for obtaining these authorizations can sometimes take time. It is practically impossible to obtain an authorization within a shorter time frame than that mentioned above. While controls of the various border police forces are indeed rare, they do exist and failure to present the border crossing authorization duly signed by the authorities can lead to long inconvenience not only to the group, but also to the guide, or even to financial penalties.

It is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure that his or her travel document is valid and that he or she is in possession of it during the entire journey. In the event that one or more travelers are unable to participate to a journey due to non-compliance with administrative formalities, this or these traveler(s) or the company - regardless of its legal form (hereinafter: the customer) - may not claim any reimbursement of the travel price.

4. Safety and health risks

Before any departure, the traveler has the duty to consult the "country sheet" published by the its Ministry of Foreign Affairs (or equivalent) and/or by its Embassy established in the country of travel, related to the country (ies) visited by the traveler.

Similarly, the traveler has the duty to consult the information on health risks that may be made available on the websites of the WHO and/or the Embassies established in the country(ies) visited.
